The tiny clicking of nails making contact with tile was the only thing heard in this empty kennel. The steps of this well fit female where the only ones so far to venture so far into the empty place...finding stale scents of caines...humans...worry....stress....horrible things that made her cringe and feel pity for the many dogs there where kept here in this place. From what she found out...they where kept in almost sanitary places...smalll places. Places that kept them closed by bars that stopped there freedom. Seeing the bones and the many attempts to escape this bloody place...but some did...others did not. Nova shrugged at the thought. They where dead now...meaning they had there peace. No more wondering when someone will come along and free them, no more starving...nor more suffer. & this was what was important correct? She flickered her tail and nodded to herself as she thought about it and sat down at a empty hall, looking at the worn pictures of dogs and words she could not understand.
What was this place used for? Simple death. She already concluded it was here, to keep the dogs from wondering the city. Already finding the death pit where they put the bodice when they did wrong or where unable to be adopted. They where burned...some put on tables with straps...who knows for what...but leashes and muzzles where scattered around this place. It disgusted here...but at the same time caught her attention...as around it there was fences and play areas that seemed well enough for her. She liked it...expect the history on the place was horrible...but she cared very little on what happened here. It was no longer held for such wrong...now just being a empty area that could provide shelter...food- as she had run into birds, squirrels and other rodents that are good for eating- and other things.
Mind wondered if anyone had already claimed the place for there own...but signs of fresh scent marks, or encounters with anyone where far showing. But first...before she even thought about making a move...it was good enough to check is there was anyone out there who dared put up a fight...or already claimed this land. Walking out of the shelter calmly she jumped on an old picnic table and looked around...her beautiful long fur glowing in the sunlight, that poured from above. Nova checked the wind for any inturders...or dogs that came on there way, but none came. Nodding she barked...waiting for someone or something to answer it...but from her bark came no answer. Telling her that indeed this place was abandoned and hers to claim. She lifted her head and let out a peaceful beautiful howl that escaped from her lungs...short but firm. I Crystal Nova...claim this lands as MINE...if anyone objects...please step foward now...if not...hold your silence. She howled, waiting a while. Before leaping off the table and wondering the rest of shelter. Not worrying about anyone...this was her land...her land. Nobody came...nobody howled. So show your face if your around...shes nice...but this time she just might bite.

Faen was a sound sleeper. She’d always been. A sound sleeper with colorful dreams. She’d stumbled into this dark place without any care to look around, t see the horrors that lay all around her. All she saw was a large crate left ajar. The crate was abandoned. She was exhausted. She fell into it, and went to sleep, head resting peacefully on her large paws. For now, she was exhausted, she decided that she would deal with the situation when she woke up, because as she lay down, soaking wet and breathing heavily, she was in no state of mind to deal with anything, and so she rested.
She had no idea what time it was when her eyes opened, but it was still dark in the crate where she lay, still blissfully dark, and she would have happily remained in her dormant state, had she not heard somebody yelling, and then howling. Strange. She’d been under the impression that she was alone in this place, and yet, here was another who had clearly wandered in while she had been asleep. Who was this newcomer, and why on earth did he or she feel the need ot go creating so much noise? Faen was an excellent sleeper, but…not so wonderful at waking up. She got clumsily to her feet, and as she moved jerkily out of the crate, whacked her head at the top of it, and winced and groaned simultaneously. Sometimes she felt that she was just a little too large for the world. Her eyes adjusted to the minimal light in the area quickly, and she could see what surrounded her, and once she’d realized it, she stumbled her way out of the room. Where was that voice coming from? Her stringy-haired ears were perked, her tail held straight as her eyes darted around, searching for the source of the noise that she had heard. Navigation around the dark place was not a simple task. She was still stiff from days spent aboard the boat that had drifted her onto these shores, walking wasn’t such an easy task, but she managed it.
” Hullo? “ she called out into the darkness, sidestepping to avoid some scurrying rat. “I don’t know who you are, but, it’s awful inconsiderate of you, y’know, inconsiderate of you to be claiming a place for yourself without checking with anybody else…” She continued muttering for a few minutes for her own benefit more than anybody elses. Hearing her own voice at least let her know that somebody was around. And then, suddenly, as she stepped outside, she almost collided with the source of the noise, and took a step back, regarding the other. Not much of a threat, on first sight, but one never knew with the smaller dogs. “Oh. There you are.” she said. ”If you want this place, I suppose you can have it, I won’t object too much, provided you let me stay. I was here first, you know.” she looked down at the other cautiously, her foreign accent becoming more and more apparent the more that she spoke.

Beautiful honey toned gaze traveled over the darkness that consumed the kennel quickly...and the small rodents began to show themselves up to make feed before the sun rose. She wondered restlessly through the new land and territory that she had rightfully claimed as her own. Usually the job of that being the males...but there where some things in this world there where left for TWO to do and not just one. Her stocky well shaped bodice moved gracefully as she walked down the long halls, the clipping off her own claws being her company. Sure she was no huge Great Dane, nor a small shrimp terrier. But just the perfect size to snap you in half if you dared push her over the edge. But words where more her game instead of violence. Actually using such fangs when they are absolutely necessary none the less.
She lowered her crown to the ground to sniff the ground. Once more scenting distinct canine scents until she decided to walk over to the other side of the kennel where she had not been. Her pace slowed as she listened carefully to some banging and then clumsy loud paw steps. Her bodice stopped and she sat down where she was...watching the door way from where the source of noise came from. Golden pools stayed focused on a large female as she peered from the door...mumbeling something to herself about Nova's claiming on the place. Oh the contrary...its very inconsiderate of you, to show your face when clearly the date for you to show is long in the past. Came her gentle vocals cold and firm, not offensive but perfect. Her honey toned eyes locked on the large hound that stood in front of her.
The female was beautiful...Nova would tell you that much. Long slim legs that promised her speed and agility, fur that kept her warm and of a beautiful tinted gray. But her interest was focused on the way she spoke...something Nova did not really like. But it was somthing she was willing to look for past and look at the positive sides. Even if you cared about my claiming on this terra...it wouldn't really matter on what you say...or do. She woofed in a serious tone not a simple emotion being put in the words...less her orbs. But, enough with this subject. I am Crystal Nova, as for your stay here, its in your paws to earn your place to stay. Nova said in a serious tone once more.
All the tones she spoke being neutral and simple. None holding aggression, nor anger against this new female that showed her face. Elegance was placed upon Nova...telling you she was very prompt and fair with the things she did and said. Her summon sprinkled fur was groomed into place, bring out every aspect and beauty her bodice had to give. From vision, to stance, to the words she spoke with respect and given point. Cold eyes didn't leave the Wolfhounds face as she still sat where she started. No fangs where bared...no fur was ruffled. She was fine...and hopped the other felt the same. As there was no need for fighting...with words it is simple. But if there is some misunderstandings and you cannot cope with the shared words? Then perhaps there might be problems, that will be quickly fixed.

Nothing was out of the ordinary. It was just another plain day in the city of Nashua. The sun was shimmering above like a diamond on the crystal blue sky. Only a few cumulus clouds could be seen hovering close to the bright sun. The city was peaceful with nothing to disturb the tranquility of the day. Four paws made their march forwards, nails clicking against the sidewalk lingering underneath four warn-down pads. Clark was wandering with no particular destination in mind, just hoping to pop in somewhere and find someone, maybe even a pack mate. He had just been appointed Beta of the Kari pack recently while Fender went off to approach more important matters for the pack. He was unaware of anyone else who resided in the pack though perhaps today that would change. His copper optics scanned the terrain in front of him though no one else seemed to be around. It was strange but not out of the ordinary. The collie pondered over his previous encounter in the Wild Oats Zoo not so long ago. He had met a female by the name of Crystal Nova and no matter how hard he tried he could not seem to let her picture fade from his mind. She had placed a great first impression on him and to see her leave so abruptly and suddenly left him puzzled. He wanted an explanation as to why she had to leave but instead he was left with nothing. He sighed, hoping the action would cause her to leave his thoughts. But it did not work. She was still there and he was left only with the memories of what happened and the thoughts of what could have been.
In the distance the outline of an old kennel was present and its haunting memories acted like daggers piercing through Clark with ease. He shuttered at the memories of his past which revolved around such a building. Humans took canines off the streets and stuck them in such facilities thinking that they would have a better life in the care of a human family. But this was a huge mistake. Sticking them with family only damaged their trust and hurt them emotionally, scaring them for life and leaving them with the inability to trust. Clark was able to recover and trust others again, but many were not as fortunate as he. The family who had taken him in was kind to a point, but after his last evening with them he never wished to see them again. He was born a stray and a stray he wanted to remain. The outline of the building grew closer and larger as Clark quickened his pace. It seemed to stick out from all of the buildings, though why it did was unknown to him. He was growing tired of walking and his limbs started to ache from the constant movements of his legs pacing. One, two, three, four and then the pattern started all over again. The clicking of his nails grew so familiar he almost completely blocked out the sound. The concrete felt rough against his tender pads and the temptation to rest grew stronger and stronger. But he ignored the urge until he reached the abandoned kennel grounds. There would be a million crates where he could make shelter though keeping his memories from coming back would be somewhat difficult.
A voice pierced through the open air and once it reached Clark's auds he instantly froze. He knew that voice, and it did not even take a minute for him to register who it was. Crystal Nova. His heart skipped a beat, a smile crossing his lips so fast he was unaware of its presence. It was her! He had so much he wanted to tell her and so much he wanted to ask. His frozen limbs thawed and soon he found himself in a full out sprint towards the front of the Kennels where the voice originated. He rounded the corner to see not only Crystal Nova but some kind of wolf hound as well. The hound was a female and was kindly speaking to Nova. She asked if she could stay on the land Nova just claimed. Wait, claimed? Did Nova belong to a pack? Clark blinked a few times not sure of what to think. Only pack leaders claimed back and to think that she was a leader was had for his system to process. He expected Nova to react kindly to the female but instead she spoke in somewhat of a snippy tone. Earn her place? Well she was the leader and the hound did not seem to be in her pack. Not to mention Clark could not jump to conclusions so fast. He took a few steps closer to where the two were speaking standing directly behind Nova. She did not seem to know he was there. "Nova you never told me you were a pack leader," he told her casually a smile spread across his lips. The true fun was pondering over how she would react to his presence. __ Puppet: Clark __ Word count: 852 __ Muse: Oodles __ Notes: Oh this shall be fun, lots and lots of fun xD

Warm gaze never lost the cold burn that sparked in them as she looked at the female. Harshly coming from things she lived through...and the thin wave of trust that lingered between herself and other canines. The closest she'd ever been in a friendly encounter...being a male named Clark. Her mind lingered on his name for a moment as she pushed the thought far from her mind. There was no time for him. No time to regret things that where not done...and dream about something that would never be. She flickered her ears around at the soft sigh the wind made...making her relax more...as her limbs where tired and her bodice wished to lay back and sleep. But, she couldn't do that just yet. Excitement about exploring the rest of her new claimed land made her restless...and just the sheer thought of having this new Wolfhound female be a pack member...made things way better. But there was just a thin line of distrust and uneasiness that came to it all. Nova willing to set it aside and just slightly trust the female...but things with Nova where slow and more when she had a hard shell to crack.
Triangles swirled evenly behind her bodice at the sound of paws very close to her body. Then a voice...a voice that sounded....so...handsome...and well took her breath away. She turned around quickly looking at his scarlet hued pelt and his large amber gaze. Rising to her paws she looked at him with shocked eyes. How did he find her?! Was he not gone forever?! The organ in her chest skipped several beats before she sneezed them away and shook her entire bodice frustrated with herself. WHY did he make her feel like this?! Nobody EVER before had made her feel in such way...it was INSANE that he could!!! She felt like glaring at him harshly but didn't. Instead registered his words. Nova you never told me you were a pack leader
Oh and how I wished I would have stayed longer too. She whispered in her mind to herself in answer to his. ...Thats because I just became one. She spoke in totally smooth tones. Unlike her insides which knotted and bubbled. Made her mad if you wanted the flat out truth. She let her puffy well groomed banner just lightly sway behind her before it stopped and her crown tilted slightly. What are you doing here? She asked him her tone slightly curious. Not that she wasn't happy enough with seeing him again...but he didn't need to no that...even though her bodice longed for a single touch from him. She didn't no how to love him...how to show him...how to express herself. What good was that? She was strong...as in power and one of those who never seemed weak ever. But there where things that a female had to no...to have a mate...or to get one that is. Her mind then jumped back to the Wolfhound female that stood behind herself. She flickered her gaze off Clark to the female. Very well...you can stay. Besides...I already kinda like you. She barked in a serious yet honest and nice tone. A gentle smile coming to her lips before they went back to Clark. There was a feeling...a feeling of hate against him...yet...a tender soft feeling that made her feel weird and never stop herself from looking at him....yes...Nova had a crush...and it was bad.

For starters, Faen was confused. She hadn't had a clue what had spurred the complete change in Crystal Nova's attitude. One moment, the dog had been strangely agressive, not in the way of teeth and claws, but unnessisarily snappy with her words, and now, she was as sweet as could be. Well, maybe not as sweet as was possible, but the way that she was acting now seemed to be oddly kind for her, judging solely on the first words that she had spoken to Faen. What kind of parents had raised their child to talk in such a way to strangers? Faen couldn't help but wonder this.
"Already kind of like me?" Faen echoed dryly, with a strange sort of grin. She didn't take kindly to being spoken rudely to, and hadn't gotten a chance to retort at the female about her earlier comments, so she reserved the right to be a bit...snappish at present, until they came to a mutual understanding. "You're a poor leader, if you'll come to trust strangers so quickly. I'd not wish to be under the the command of one so...free with their trust." The other did mention being the leader of stome sort of pack. These dogs lived like wolves, it seemed, wild and left to their own, and in the absecne of any humans to provide authority, they divided themselves along whatever lines they saw fit. Perhaps the pack that Crystal Nova led was for those of an arrogant personality. That seemed right, in Faen's mind. She hardly paid any heed to the stranger that had caused Crystal's change in demeanor, instead, focused on rectifying her previous remarks, just a bit "Of course, I do not mean you, nor your pack, any harm, but I've as much right to be here as you do, as far as I can tell, after all, these aren't exactly accomidations to hold as the pride of your pack's posessions, are they?" she said, satisified that she had solved the matter, and it shouldn't cause them any more problems.
Faen settled back on her haunches, and bothered to take a look at the male who had come through and had spoken, and she recognized him.
Clark! she said warmly, recalling their meeting in the abandoned hotel a few days earlier. Wonderful to see you again, truth be told, I wasn't expecting it...there seem to be so many dogs running about here..." she took a pause for consideration, eyes darting between one dog and another. "You two know one another then?" she inquired ,feeling as though the other two could not have known each other for very long, but they still had met one another before, that was obvious by the familiarity in their voices.

When first taking his stroll Clark never expected to see Nova here claiming this land as her own. When he had first seen her in the zoo they were both two dogs trying to find their place in society. Apparently now she had found her own and Clark had yet to decide what his true position would be. His heart started to pulse faster and faster at the sight of Nova, not fully registering that the other female was another one he had seen before. Nova seemed to be surprised at his presence for when she turned around to face him shook was written all over her face. His smile grew somewhat stronger at her shocked expression. Not good at hiding your emotions I see? he thought to himself though not verbally asking the rhetorical question. Her lyrics told him that she had not told of her alpha position because she had just became the leader. Clark nodded his dial showing he had registered what she had said. She was a new leader which was probably why she had come to claim the Kennels for her pack. Every pack needed a homeland and this large building would work well in her favor. This was probably the homeland so no other pack could take it, though he was unsure if any other lands had also been taken in the name of her pack. He cocked his dial to the side as he pondered over what pack she dominated over. Maybe Shou, or Harku. He knew that Fang was led by Drug, Ashai was led by Amity, and his own pack was led by Fender so that left only two other packs as a possibility. She was intelligent and could fit well as the Shou leader, but somehow she struck him as a Harku dog. He could ask her to confirm this later as time progressed.
When Nova spoke of the question referring to why he had come Clark could not help but laugh at her choice of lyrics. "Well I was looking for somewhere to rest for time time being. Why? Do you object to my presence?" His last question was playful with no serious tone to it. Surely Nova would catch onto his sarcastic question. Then the collie mix turned her attention to the other female who had come before Clark. It was for the first time that Clark realized who she was as Nova spoke to her saying she could stay. It was Faen, a female he had met in the Doxton hotel not so long ago. His tail flickered into a wag and his smile grew wider. Though before he spoke to her he allowed the two females to interact with one another since they had yet to do so since his arrival. When Faen spoke her words were yet another rhetorical question and her words were somewhat dry. Clark could understand how she could interpret Nova's lyrics in a negative way but he knew deep down that she was truly a compassionate canine and one who would make a great leader over whatever pack she ruled. Then when Faen spoke again of her being a poor leader, Clark's smile faded. He did not want this interaction to turn into some kind of verbal argument. This was not something he wanted to be apart of. He was unsure if this other female was in the pack, but if she was this was no way to respect her leader. Clark could only assume she was a loner or belonged to another pack and had come onto these lands not knowing they were claimed for another pack. The short time he had spoke with Faen she seemed kind and intelligent so this could be the only possible solution.
When more lyrics were spoken and once again my Faen it caused Clark to feel somewhat more relaxed. He was happy to know Faen meant Nova's pack no harm. He wanted to completely ease the tension before any more was to be created. Then the Irish wolfhound lowered her hackles to the ground before finally realizing the male who had come was Clark. His grin returned as she called his name. "Well it is about time you realized it was me, I was starting to doubt you remembered who I was." he told her jokingly keeping his eyes filled with life and compassion like always. Then to her next remark he commented with "Well I did not expect to find you here either so I guess we are on the same page." When she asked if they (revering to Clark and Nova) knew each other Clark nodded his head. "Yes, I ran into Nova back in the Wild Oats Zoo not so long ago, right before I met you, actually." His auburn optics made their way over to Nova with his smile still staying strong. Oh and what a night it was... he reminisced remembering the fun they had had before she had run off without another word being spoken. Some might find it awkward to be with another you had not seen for a while and the connections you had being left in the open. But to Clark he was just happy to see her again and to know she was okay. And since she was leading a pack now and had just claimed her first land for the pack (or at least what Clark assumed was her first claim) she must be fairing well. Clark too had been well so far, but was even better after looking into her amber orbs.
Turning back to the two females as a whole Clark was ready to stop any more arguments to be seeded. "Now before you two keep arguing how about we call a truce? I don't want any more tension to sprout and I would prefer this gathering was started on a more positive note." His orbs shifted from one female to the next when speaking, checking to see what their facial expressions told him about their emotions. He did not want to become the new target but neither of these females had a naturally aggressive personality. He had meet both of them while for these two it was their first encounter. Like the Irish hound before Clark too lowered his hackles to a seated position and kept his weak smile on his lips. "So how about it you two? Truce?" His eyes were almost begging the two females to give in to his request. His tone was not demanding but almost like a child's plea. He wanted peace for tension always made things uncomfortable. He did not want to have to take sides with the females since he had met both prior and would hate to burn a newly build bridge. It may have made the other female to know that Clark knew both of them, since Clark knew that if he was in their shoes it would be strange to be in this situation. But it was equally strange for him as well. He hoped adding a final please would cause the female to break. "Please?" Those two puppy dog eyes could get him almost anything. Though the question was would it work this time as well, or would their first flaw be exposed? __ Puppet: Clark __ Word count: 1,215 __ Muse: High __ Notes: The last paragraph sucks so ignore it please. Orbs traveled to the females eyes once more...pure calmness, but strong power held in them as she didn't look away. There was no need too. Words where spoke, but there was no reaction on Nova's face, as the wolf hound changed the subject quickly onto Clark. Nova forgave but never forgot as her cold pulsing pools never left the female. There was pure tension in the air...as this could lead to a fight...or forgotten to be pushed into the past. But this was clearly why Nova never trusted, nor had friends that would last more then just a couple of chats. Trust is only one of the last steps, in companion ship. Nova stated softly but with a firm tone, ignoring the first part of the females sentence. Trust. Definition of the word was long gone...more then that? Burned in the depths of hell for Nova. Her posture was not aggressive, there will be no fight. Even if she female chooses to verbally offend Nova again. Nova kept her cool listening on to the females words. This time Nova bared her fangs letting out a booming bark now offended that now she had two disses thrown at her then rather one. You will respect me under any circumstances, leader or not...you are at the same level as me, as I tend not to raise mine simply because of my owning of this land, nor lowered yours for a simple stranger i happen to meet. Leave if you are not content with such condition I put down. I'm not asking you to stay. She spoke in a firm tone. You could tell respect was a big deal with her as she sat down...away from Clark and the Wolfhound
She turned to Clark once more as he proceeded to speak but ignored most of it. Elegant but serious...almost cold feeling if you looked at her. Yes, Nova had her sides...and these where just a few of them. It was not correct what the other female has done. Little did she know who Nova was-did-acted-or spoke. Yet she dared insult her...this pushing the calm female over the edge. She had taken enough of those...your horrible phrases and pushed them far into the back of her mind...that place where she will never again look into. Then here comes this female to bring back such memories. Though, she didn't let her effect her too deeply as she shrugged it off, just like everyone else who came along. The world was huge...and really she didn't have to stay. Nova flickered her ears at her name as she looked up back at Clark. As he directed something to the both of them. She listened on a little on that as she looked into his dazzling pools. Suddenly not feeling to intrigued nor amazed by his handsomeness. More like...tied down too and choked by. Yes. Truce with me is fine. She agreed in a neutral voice, turning her eyes on the tall female.
This is when that phrase comes to play again: I forgive but never forget, as she intently looked at her. There was no want for problems to emerged...as they just caused weakness and revolution for both who fought. There was no want from Nova to fight, nor stand...though her personal ego was wounded and she will most likely take it out later. But revenge was not cool, neither liked by Nova. Either way it was fine. Pink tongue rasped over her lips as she flickered her puffy tail at her side as she turned to look at something in the corner but returning her gaze back to the two who said wordlessly in front of her. She said nothing...waiting for an answer or words to come. Once more finding herself just staring at Clark, re mering the night they had spend together, sending chills up her spine. Making her forget that she was ever angered and making everything...perfect. He seemed untouched by the words she had said that night...rembering well that she had left not staying to see his reaction...regret punched her hard in the gut as she wished so badly she would have stayed with him during the night...and the fallowing morning. A tiny flick of her ear came as she shooed away one of the few bitters that remained in the cooling temperature. The cool breeze entered the building just lightly ruffling her fur as she took in the fresh scent of the outside. Looking away when her mind asked her...can you trust him? She swallowed looking down at her paws, before looking back at him with a gentle gaze. Flashes of his hunt for her...the way they shared the male, the way he touched her cheek made her smile. Yes... her answer came in a whisper in her thinker. Before she shook her crown and looked back at the tall female.

"I need only respect those who have given me good cause to respect them. Faen explained simply, nonagressive in the delivery of her line, as she was merely airing a fact. Respect should not be given to anyone, for no cause. That was frivolous, and when used to much, the value of any one being's respect would be nominal, easily disregarded and tossed to the side. No. Respect was something that needed to be earned, and should in no way be given straight off.
"Truce." Faen echoed at the offer of peace, once she was certain that the other had agreed to the terms. She wans't going to be the fool to agree to something, only to have the other party involved spurn the idea. But an agreement of peace...Faen saw nothing objectionable in that. "I apologize for my quick reaction, she said. "I am new here, and ought to know better than to snap out at strangers like that, I suspect it's something that the salt water did to me. That gets to your head, I suppose." She could excuse her behavior as much as she wanted, the underlying cause was inherent distrust. But she could set that aside for the time being. Clark was here, and he seemed to have a decent relationship with this Crystal Nova. Thus far, he had been able to defuse tensions, and Faen was certianly not about to incite anything in the future. It wasn’t worth the effort. With the matter with Nova settled, her attention turned to Clark. “Of course I wouldn’t forget you!” she exclaimed, tail wagging easily back and forth as she spoke to him, the way that she carried herself had altered entirely from the position that she took when speaking to Nova, but she’d try to relax when speaking to the other female as well. “How could I? There was little else to remember about that night, aside from the horrid thundering…” And then, she dared to address Nova again, the slightest bit of a shy smile creeping across her face. “Might we start again, you and I? she inquired. That way, we can get things off on a good paw, without any misconceptions. “

Clark flinched involuntarily. These females had much hostility traveling between them and even after the truce was called Clark knew it could not last forever. He was the peace maker during this encounter and the moment he was to leave the war would resume. It was not really a truce that was called, but more of a time where the battles were paused. At least now they would stop beating one another up verbally. Faen was the first to try to heal up the wounds after they had been applied. Her kind lyrics caused Clark to grin weakly and his banner to start a slight wag. He knew Faen was new and her heavy ascent only proved this further. He had only met her a while back in the hotel and even there she was curious about everything and anything around her. So it was not a surprise to see her wandering the streets and finding this kennel to make shelter in. Neither Clark nor Faen had any right to be on land that now belonged to Harku so Nova was kind enough to allow them to stay. But once they left it would probably be the last time either would set foot on the grounds. Well, it would be for Clark anyways. He respected the boundaries pack made and to enter their homeland uninvited was probably one of the worst offenses one could make. And he had to give Nova even more respect now that she was a pack leader. He was unsure if she had been one when they first met. Things had changed quite a lot between them in the short distance they had been apart. There was a lot he wanted to tell her, but he did not want to make Faen feel like an outcast and shun her from the gathering. And at this point it was hard to play both sides of two feuding canines.
Faen's next lyrics were directed at Clark and his auds pricked upwards as she spoke to him. He turned his dial to face her and allowed his smile to stay in place while listening to her. He was happy to know she had not forgotten him for he would be somewhat concerned if she had. They had only met a short while ago and had had a nice conversation between the two of them. Then when the third female entered it was yet another three way conversation where he had to make sure not to pay attention to only one of the canines there. Here he was in the same situation not trying to pick favorites. He laughed as Faen recalled the horrible thunder which had been rumbling while they were speaking. Unfortunately for them they had been caught up in a horrible storm which almost caused the hotel to give out right above them. Or at least that is what it felt like to him. "Yes that storm was pretty bad. We were lucky enough to survive it. Hopefully we don't suffer another one of those powerful storms for a while." Faen then spoke to Nova which was a surprising move in Clark's eyes. They had quite the brawl before with harsh words coming from either side. He could only pray that Faen was not trying to get under Nova's fur but was trying to rebuild the bridge which had been burned previously. He breathed a sigh of relief when Faen wanted to start off fresh between she and Nova. Each one was a great female and he would love it if they finally were to get along, even if it was for the short while he was present. He hated to feel tension between others and even more so to be caught up in the middle of it.
Clark then allowed his auburn colored optics to make their way back to the border collie mix. Her coat shimmered in the little lighting given off by the sun's rays and when a light breeze kicked up it only caused her to look like a fictional book character come to life. Perhaps his feelings for her had not left completely. But he tried to push them out of his thought, far far away. She did not like him and made that clear long ago. She had run away from him after speaking such kind words and had probably hoped never to see him again. It was awkward having a crush on a female who did not feel the same way. But he had to ignore these feelings. He kept his cheeks from turning flushed and his eyes lost the hopeful twinkle they had once contained. It took him a moment to think back to what Faen had said before he could remember why he had turned to face her in the first place. "Starting out fresh sounds like a good idea to me." He was not only referring to Nova and Faen. He was also taking about Nova and he. He did not want her to feel strange after what had happened between them. And the look in his eye when telling her this explained to her without words that this was what his intentions were. He allowed his orbs to scan over the grounds before rising from his feet and smile to either of the females. "Come on, all this talking is getting boring. How about we go explore what Nova has just claimed for her pack." He was about to take a step forward before remembering this was not his land and he needed the leader's consent before going to explore. Crystal Nova accepted the words of the other female gracefully as she bowed her maned head politely and elegantly to one side. Not meaning that she understood the water part. But she pretend like she did, and simply let the flow of the conversation pour into the thinness of close companion ship...or more like conversation, that she was once more left out on...but she liked it this way. There was much more room to think inside her mind, but that much thinking was all directed to Clark. So many feelings where being retained inside her cage that it was hard to breath. There was a moment where his amber eyes shifted onto her own frame, only Nova holding it firmly and forcing herself not to look away...feelings bouncing and choking her, when words left his mouth she nodded slightly looking over to glance at Faen before looking back into his eyes reading the words that where unspoken....the unspoken words being the loudest of them all. She looked down at her paws quickly, ripping her gaze away from his. Feeling thick pain and remorse build up against her throat and crush her heart harshly. Shooing it away with a deep inward breath and holding it just for a while before letting it go.
No, no, NO!! She didn't WANT to start fresh with him!...But there was no way of telling him now. It was clear that all that happened at the zoo, was left behind...and there was no going back to grasp it again. There will be no telling him how he makes her heart dance and leap inside her chest when he looks at her, no telling him that he makes those butterflies flutter high in her stomach when he touches her. There will be no telling him that he takes her breath away, and completes her life...that she loves him and there is no other in this world that would ever make her feel like he makes her feel. There will be none of that. She heard voices...his voice...in the far back of her mind, until she heard her name once more coming back and looking at Clark with the same beautiful kind gaze...even though inside she was bleeding. She rose her graceful bodice up and flickered her ears as he asked her permission too. Yes. Its perfectly fine. she woofed to answer him, lightly wagging her banner behind her lifelessly.
She felt the need to be strong...to not let the past effect her...but she likes this past memory...and its hard for her to forget such a special thing that happened in her life. She waited for one of them to take lead. Planning to tag along behind the two then be the leader. She was one buy soul...but it was hard to be one when your heart refuses to beat, and your mind doesn't help it heal. Leaving you in shock and in a state where you REALLY wished you had another chance to take it all back and live it all over again. But it was fine...as things where clear now...and there was no misunderstandings and feelings where now cleared out. Well...for one out of the two. But not her. She flickered her tail lightly before returning her gaze back toward Clark's face. She looked back down before he made eye contact with her...to stop the butterflies from fluttering and stop her heart from aching. She blinked gently, as once more her honey kissed eyes looked deep into Clark's gaze as she trotted out of the room in his direction. Golden pools pouring everything she felt onto the ground and at his paws, she looked away flickering her tail playfully. Hoping that he saw it. So what are you guys waiting for? She barked in a playful tone turning the corner and heading down the empty hall, the sound of her claws clicking getting farther away.
