Feathered salt and pepper torso roused from a neon pink beanbag, pelt clashing against the beanbag's fabric. Sienna brown orbs were raised to the shelves of books surrounding the childrens section. Wrinkling her nose, the female shook herself, anxious to be off. Despite sleeping in the children's section for a few sundowns now, she felt as though the other animals didn't want her there. Indeed, the giraffe and camel seemed especially hostile, button eyes glaring at her. Casting one last glance around the brightly coloured area the femme began to make careful steps towards the stairs. Ears raised in anxiousness as she heard something. "Who's there?" she whispered, not expecting an answer. After standing as still as stone for a few moments she forgot all about the noise she'd heard. Waving her banner steadily the Large Munsterlander prepared to go up the stairs. This was a feat in itself - the stairs were grand. Marble steps were slippery with only a thin trip of scarlet carpet running down the centre to grip onto. Furthermore, the handrail was golden and looked delicate - to attempt to cling to it would surely result in chaos. With a sigh like a whisper she began to race up the stairs. It would be graceful, save for one thing. Carooning up the stairs was hard work for her hind legs as they attempted to keep up with the rest of her speeding body. Thus, her hindquarters slid all around giving her the appearance of a speeding snail from behind. Finally making it to the second floor, the pretty bitch trotted over to the books. Scanning the shelves the femme's heart soared as she read the title of one of the lower down books. 'Lunar Space'. After wrestling the book from the shelf with her fangs, the female looked down on the book lying on the floorboards. Now she could see the name of the human who'd wrote this masterpeice. 'By Luna Landslife' After staring at it for a moment, the female began to whine. "A human stole my name!" she stated unbelievingly. Of course, her name was Luna, not Landslife. Luna yawned in order to get her body stirred up to read. Scrabbling with her claws Luna managed to get the book open about halfway. The page was decorated with brightly coloured images as well as writing. Grinning a little more Luna set to trying to understand the words. Most of them were hard words like 'meteorite' and 'astronaut', causing Luna to half give up. After spending about half an hour trying to decipher the words Luna heard another noise. A low whine or growl - she couldn't quite tell. Slowly she got to her feet and turned around to face the other animal, expression one of calm that could change at any moment. Luna simply waited as there was no canine in sight. Surely the other dog must come out soon? Did you regret Ever standing by my side Did you forget What we were feeling inside Now I'm left to forget About usThe sun was high in the atmosphere, thus telling Earth's inhabitance that it was noon. It beat down on the city's library, as well as the rest of the world. The temperture was soaring and yet the dashes of clouds in the sky seemed unphased in the heat. Yet birds filled the air with song, to some they were beautiful and were like nature's chorus, but to others they were annoying and some yelled at the birds. But one of these haters of bird song often killed them, not with metal sticks that make loud noises but with tooth. This killer had four legs and a horrid blood lust that could flash in at any moment, a ticking time bomb if you would. His name was Edge, new to the city and already trying to make himself a reputation. Edge had been hiding in the shade of a tree, trying to escape the heat of the day. Then his panting became slower until it finally stopped, Edge growled as bird song echoed in his ears. As I said before, this dog hates the singing of the birds. Blood lust flashed inside his head and he got up swiftly to attack the nearest source of blood.
Edge looked up at the library, how someone could make a huge building that was filled with useless garbage was beyond him. But he doesn't know that some people make good books and make money off of them, thats because, like most dogs, he can't read human. Edge circled the building until he found a ladder, being a trained police dog, he knew how to climb up and down these objects. The german shepherd started to swiftly climb up it, soon he was on the roof of the library and spotted prey, a robin. Edge prowled forward, stopping each time the robin turned its head. This dog wasn't going to just rush in like some over hyped up pup, he would take his time and then pounce when close enough. Edge continued this until he was only three feet away from the bird, then he ran and lept at the bird. Its take off was too slow for the dog, its wing being seized in Edge's jaws. The german shepherd landed on the balcony, his head looking right at the steps. If a dog were to fall, a quick death would follow soon enough.
He wasn't afraid of heights, but he didn't like the possiblity that the predator could become the prey. So Edge turned around and lept down off the balcony. But as he was about to eat the small prey, a very small sound echoed into his perked ears. If it was a female canine, the charm was on but if it was a male, the fight would be on. Edge pciekd up the bird and started to climb down the ladder, once at the fourth step from the gorund he jumped down. The male trotted at a very fast pace towards the stairs, scaled the stairs and met the door head on. It barely hurt, so Edge dropped the bird and sniffed the air. The air was filled with the scent of a female, Edge let out a small growl before picking up the bird and trotting after the females scent. He stopped once he heard her get up, Edge lept up on one of the bookshelves next to him and made another jump on top of the shelf next to the female. Edge dropped the bird and watched as it landed next to her, the charm was on. The male landed next to her and smiled at her, then spoke in a hypnotizing tone. "Hello doll face, whats a girl like you doin' in a place like this?"We were just about to fall Even more in love Than we were before I won't forget I won't forget About usWhispers: 627 Star: Edge Responding Stars: Rainbow, Luna and open Other: WHEEEEE!!!
