The first time mother sure had picked a night to finally give in to nature’s course and birth her pups as her body had intended to for some hours now but being uncomfortable with the area caused much stress to her and the unknowing of what might happen to her pups was even more worrying than anything she had ever experienced. She had heard of bitches that had aborted their pups due to a few of these circumstances but she was determined to have a healthy litter and raise them to be good, truthful dogs… unlike their father. She whimpered a little as she waddled feebly through the overgrown shrubbery that had made home along the train tracks and through the wheels of the train that had once run upon it. Finding a trailer unlocked she took a careful sniff inside before dragging her enlarged body into the less drafty area of the cart. It smelled badly of damp because of the wood outside but thankfully it remained warm and comfortable enough to settle – some human that must have been living here had left a heavily stained wooly blanket where she lay while the uncomfortable contractions enveloped her body.
After the strain of the first set she birthed a single pup. He was a male with a handsome ebony coat and caramel markings on his underbelly, chest, legs and eyebrows – he definitely didn’t look like her on the outside but he had the innocence and the lovingness that she wished she still had. Maybe in the future there would be something she had in common with this mongrel pup. She cleaned him and guided him gently to her teat. It was not long until the second set of shooting pains arrived and once again she brought another little girl this time into the world and instantly she was relieved to see that some of her pedigree remained in her pups. Like the first she had much black on her coat but with patches of white on her body and very much like a collie in appearance. And finally the last pup was born with little difficulty but unlike the last two pups she didn’t whine or cry for her mother… she simply knew where to go.
Jenna found herself shaking from the effort of having the pups. She was also hungry and scared but the need to protect her babies was overwhelming. She would go through the hardships to stay with them even if she herself ended up suffering.

The world was a strange place, and the newborn was not entirely sure if she liked it. First of all, it was...frigid. Frigid, and unwelcoming. The world did not seem to want her there, being so icy in her first moments. With eyes still shut, the newborn knew exactly what she needed to do. Without a sound, she crawled her way to the stomach of the being that some innate sence of the world told her was her mother. She knew that, though she may not have been aware that there was a word for such a being.
The creature she was suckling from was shaking. She could feel the presence of others around her, as well, making noises that seemed oddly muffled. The rest of the world seemed...vibrant, the sensation of it, even though she had not cracked open her eyes to see, the feeling was impossible to ignore, the cold wind weaving through her still-damp, pelt. But the sounds were...dull, and again, that strange, innate sense, told her that something was wrong. That...something was missing from her senses, there was a piece of her that should have been there that wasn't. She should be...hearing more, shouldn't she? She could feel the warm bodies of her siblings writhing around her, but she could not hear them as well as she ought to have been able to.
This caused alarm in her impulsive mind, and she withdrew from her space on her mother's stomach, suddenly crying out for her. The puppy was different than the dog it would grow into. For now, she would cry for her mother, she would retract her initial attempts at independance in favor of dependance. Something was rong, something wasn't right, so she went to Mother for help. In the years to come, though, oh, how that would change. The child would learn where she had come from, discover who her father was, and perhaps develop a need for him, a need for the darker side of her mind to be explored...but those needs would be years in the making. For now, she was a terrified pup, unsure of the world and those who existed in it, and entirely confused as to what challenges this world was presenting to her, in her first few moments of life. Puppet Spider WordsMuseStruggling with this one. Comments This'll be the only thread you'll see Spider in 'till her bio's approved. Also, posting as a newborn is not particularly easy.

Clark moved across the train tracks which had started back at the main train station. The log cabin was empty and abandon with no one selling tickets to ride the trains which once used these tracks to go from city to city to bring lumber, coal and other goods for trade. Now that airplanes were invented there was little use for it, and once the population of humans died down there was no longer a reason to use it. It was shut down a few years ago, but that was not to say it was no longer used. Two auburn paws made their way across the silver tracks carefully being placed on the wooden slabs between the tracks and avoiding the rocks which lay between the bars. Stepping on one of those pointy stones could cause an injury to his pad and after being cracked and scrapped so many times he did not want to add another scar to the collection. His copper optics looked up to the sky with the sun dancing among the bright blue sky. Its rays embraced the world with warmth and though it was fall allowed some of its heat to keep the temperatures to drop below freezing. Soon winter would be upon the city but until then fall refused to keep its presence unknown. Trees were to either side of the collie mix who was pacing down the tracks. Their limbs lay bare with no leaves clinging to their branches and instead scattered across the cold ground. There were no humans to rake them away so they lay scattered across the grass with only the wind to move them. Soon they would disintegrate and be hidden under a blanket of snow, only to have fall come again next year and have the cycle continue. And this cycle would continue for as long as the world kept spinning.
There were no trains in sight on the tracks, just endless tracks with spins and turns which were sometimes so sharp Clark had to be careful not to trip over the bars. He was not sure where he was going but just kept making his way forwards. He allowed the chilling breeze of fall brush against his long cloak and cause his fur to sway to and fro along with the blades of grass all around him. He felt connected to nature in this way happy he was a stray and not a house pet. They missed out on so many opportunities that were life changing. Sometimes for the better, and sometimes for the worse. But even with the cons of living on the streets Clark believed anything was better than living on constant shelter and having to abide by a master. He was a free spirit who could not be tamed. He lifted his cranium into the air and inhaled the scents of fall all around him. His nostrils flared rapidly to take in the crisp leaves at his feet and the smell of nature itself. There was nothing like this and he was happy to know that the tranquility of such an environment could not be stopped. His turned his copper orbs to scan the terrain before him watching as the tracks approached an incline. He started his ascend upwards lifting his paws rhythmically and almost humming along to the song of nature. He heard the wind whistle through the trees, the leaves scatter across the fores floor. Everything as in harmony as one giant symphony and he was now the conductor swishing his tail like a baton to tell each group when to play and the tempo to follow. Oh and how enjoyable it was.
Once at the top of the hill Clark's eyes lay on the appearance of a lost train car abandoned and forgotten. He paused at his incline looking it over wondering whether to pass it or to change his path. He had no reason to avoid it so he started down the hill keeping his pace in tempo. He allowed his glance to fall on the tracks so he would not lose his footing while moving downwards. Then once off the hill he turned his orbs back on the car which was now only a few meters away. No sound was coming from the car, but that did not mean that it was abandoned. Slowly the collie mix approached it eying it like it might suddenly come to life and roll towards him. Once at the front door he peered inside to see a female with three pups by her side. She was alone with no male to help her through the birthing process. He felt bad for the female and instinctively gathered energy and propelled himself into the air and landing into the car with his nails clicking against the ground. Hopefully he had no startled her. "Are you alright miss?" he asked eying her three pups who all seemed to be healthy. He took a few steps closer though allowed a two foot gap between he and the female to show her he meant her or her pups no harm. He dipped his head to show his sincerity. "Are you here all alone? Surely you have someone, a mate perhaps, to help with your pups?" Taking care of three pups all on her own would be no easy task, but so far she seemed to be doing a great job at it. All three lay at her side drinking her milk and taking their first breaths of life. Sometimes the most common things in nature could be the most beautiful. __ Puppet: Clark __ Words: 932 __ Muse: Moderate __ Notes: Sorry for the delay, T just reminded me today I forgot to reply to this xD
