It was dusk. The sun was starting to set under the horizon and the moon slowly began into the sky above. Summer nights were cooler than the days, but were still considerably hot. Most canines at this time were out looking for shelter from the darkness which was on its way. After all, night was the time most used for resting so when daylight returned they would be prepared for what the day would bring them. Most were with their families because they were too timid to wander the streets alone. Most were finishing their supper (if they were lucky enough to find one) and then curling up for the night. Most. But not all. Devastation was one of the few exceptions who dared to live the night life. She was not the least bit timid or shy or reserved. And if she did not have such a high ego she would probably reside in the Fang pack, the most feared in Nashua. But alas she chose the life of a loner, since she did not need a pack to support her. In her twisted mind being in a pack was a sign of weakness. The only one you can truly depend on is yourself, and yourself only. Everyone deserves to fear you. It is either kill or be killed, and in this kind of world Devastation was the hunter and every other living being was her. Better pray you die before she finds you, because once she sets her sight on her target she never fails.
The streets were abandoned, the only noise being that of the wind howling through the tree tops and nails hitting the concrete. Two icy blue eyes studied this scene, looking for a life to take. Nothing came into view. But Devastation was persistent, and once she set a goal she did not stop until it was met. The old county jail came into view, from the outside looking like an ordinary police station but in the basement was where the prisoners were kept. This was not where the awful ten most wanted were kept, but more along the lines of those who shop lifted, drove under the influence, the smaller crimes which needed to be kept somewhere until a judgment was made. But it was inhabited by strays now and there was always the poor soul who used one of the cells as their bed for the night. But what that poor canine did not know was that Devastation was out after them, and their life would soon be brought to a close. Four paws move swiftly across the sidewalks causing the female to grow closer and closer to her target destination. Saliva dripped from her jaws and her teeth were itching to sink into flesh and to taste blood along her taste buds. Such thoughts almost made her shudder with anticipation, adrenalin starting to leak and poison her veins. It was only going to be a matter of time before this craving was settled.
Once at the bottom of the steps the female took a moment to pause and look upwards, eyes scanning the outline of the building. It was quiet, though perhaps almost too quiet. Then quickly she made her ascend upwards moving her paws quickly onto the stone steps. The front door was left ajar, so with a quick movement of her muzzle it was opened for her to enter. It creaked as it widened, a beam of light illuminating the darkened room. No one was present in the main hall. Then Devastation slowly trotted forward, her nails clicking against the tiles of the old Police Station. She knew exactly where to go, because rumors had told her where the entrance. Behind the service desk was the old door, broken down by a canine who had come before her. And then a stairwell was in front of her, left for anyone to explore. They were dark and musty, and a cool draft could be felt coming from below. But these things were not enough to stop this female on a mission. She did not even consider the fact that there could be someone down there who she could not take. In her eyes she was invincible, unstoppable, and all powerful. One day she would rule this city, but until then she was only reeking havoc and creating even more chaos.
The steps felt cool beneath her pads, sending a chill down the spine of any other. And once at the bottom of the winding stairs was a hall of cells, some left locked while others were open. She paused, holding her breath and perking her ears upwards. She could hear the sound of someone breathing, and smelt the scent of another life. A sadistic grin was soon grown across her maw, and she began to make her way forward. She kept her optics looking straight rather than moving them from side to side to look for her victim. She would know when to stop. And then after passing a few of the cells she did. Her body froze, then slowly, she turned her dial to the right. Her two blue eyes saw who she was looking for, left fast asleep on the bed of the cell. Their chest moved up and down, their body curled in a ball. Their obony pelt bended in with the darkness, and only a select few would have been able to make them out. Then Devastation turned her body towards the cell, making her way forwards and stopping in the middle of the doorway. Her smile remained on her lips. Then she growled, loud and ferocious which would easily wake a slumbering canine. And this male was quick to wake up and spot the female staring him down with two cold eyes.
"What do you want?" he snapped, unaware that his life would soon be at its end. Devastation parted her jaws and laughed, an evil crackle which almost shook the cell. The male growled at the fact he humored her so. Then she stopped suddenly, her features filled with seriousness. "What do I want?" she repeated, taking two more steps forward and allowing saliva to continue to fall from her chin. "There are many things I crave. Though I am sure you can guess what one of them is." He did not seem to get the hint and rose from his curled position. He appeared to be a flat coated retriever, or something of that sort. He was larger than Devastation, but easily outmatched. "There is nothing I can give you," he growled, hoping she would leave him in peace. But this was not the case. Her grin grew slightly wider. "Oh but there is something you can give me.." Her eyes traced his figure, looking for anything she could take advantage of. WHen nothing was found she decided to just go for his neck which had the softest tissue and would cause the post main. Her limbs slowly bent, her muscles growing tense and gathering strength. Her eyes locked onto her target, then with all her strength she lunged from her location on the floor and up onto the bed and at the male's neck.
It was a successful attack, fangs piercing the flesh and creating a deep puncture. He howled in pain and growled in anger, though was soon hushed when his vocal cords were cut and his jugular in half. She then knocked the body to the ground where the blood soon splattered across the floor and onto the cell walls. She leaped at him once more this time bitting into the side of his neck instead of his throat. He scratched at her side but only created a small wound, and only a trickle of blood was the results. "Oh surely you can do more than that..." she asked sarcastically, releasing him from her grasp and placing a paw on his side to quicken the flow of blood. She watched as the life was drained from the corpse, his eye lids fluttering as he attempted to close them. He tried to speak, but only blood bubbled from his throat. Her claws dug into his side to only cause more pain. And after a few minutes when the crimson liquid had drained enough to kill him, the female lowered her cranium and lapped up the bitter liquid. It felt warm in her mouth but was enough for her goal to be bet. Though being a perfectionist she thought she could have done better with taking his life. Her grin faded as she studied the body. He had not put up much of a fight, and it was a shame there was not another who would perhaps actually pose a threat to her well being. --Puppet: Devastation --Post for: Akaneh --Word count: 1463 --Muse: Fair --Notes: This is our thread for Solo and Devastation =]

Panting from the long hot day, Solo skimmed the area in search of some sort of shelter. Since she was new to the whole street dog thing, the young female was unaware that night, her favorite time of day, was the time that cold blooded killers lurked in the shadows. It never even occurred to her that night fall made a dog mearly invisible. Solo had a lot to learn and at the pace that she was going, it appeared that she would be learning the hard way. Now in the 70's the temperature had dramatically dropped. That was a relief! The heat bothered Solo a lot. She was used to Air Conditioned dog houses but sadly none of those existed within miles of this place. Suddenly a figure came into seeing range. It appeared to be a some sort of police station. Solo had never been in one before but every Saturday morning she and her family would watch cartoons about dogs busting the bad guys and putting them behind bars in police stations. Her tail wagged slightly thinking back on those fond memories.
Entering the police station, the cold floor sent shivers up her spine. Those jail cells might be a good place to nap actually. Not a bad idea at all. A few scents caught Solo's attention. One in particular was interesting. It was another female, seemed to be rather fit. But not being aware that this meant trouble, Solo continued to walk giving herself a tour of the place. There was an abandoned desk in the corner of the main floor. This was where the big men with donuts must sit. The thought of a donut made her mouth water. Once when she was in the car with her humans, one of the children snuck her a piece of his donut. Now she couldn't decide what the best part of the donut really was; the rich sugary powder, the jelly-filled center, or the actual doe. Saliva dripped from her mouth. When she realized she stopped, for it was not very attractive. Moving away from the desk, she noticed stairs leading to the basement. Moving to the edge of the stairs, many scents burst into her nose. That female dog showed up again and another dog. The scent of blood lingered in the air. She paid no attention and went down anyway.
As soon as Solo's eyes adjusted, she froze. It was all coming to her now! The female was standing right in front of her with blood on her snout and a dead lifeless body laid sprawled out in front of her. A puddle of blood dripped from the male's neck. A strange sensation swept through Solo's panicked body, fear. Pure fear. Ready for a fight, Solo got into a position ready to pounce if she needed to. Perhaps this was the time to lie like there was no tomorrow because there was the possibility that there might not be a tomorrow. "Damn, bitch. You showed that mutt real good," she snickered as if she were tough as nails. Solo hated to act like this, it was simply immature, rude, and un-lady-like. But this might work if she fooled this female to think that she was as cold blooded as her. "What you say we tag-team some scum? I need some fun." Solo went over to the puddle of blood and took a sip. She felt as if she were going to vomit but this was the only way to save herself. She sat on her haunches waiting for this deadly female's reaction.

Two auds perked upwards. Two optics lowered to a glare as the sound of clicking nails met her ears. Devastation knew the female was approaching before they had even made it down two stairs. She was always on the alert, and despite the fact that she had just taken a life she was ready to do more damage. A lot more. Blood coated her lips and she licked at it while waiting for the other female to make her appearance. There was no point in her trying to hide, because Devastation would find them. And the moment the lab layed eyes on the dead corpse she froze, pupils dilating and fear quickly bitting at her like a python. Devastation smiled, licking at her lips once more. So this female was not a fighter. This was not the best, but at least another easy kill to add to her record. She kicked the lifeless corpse to the side splattering even more blood everywhere. Most would never touch another dead body, but she was the one who had taken his life with ease. The warm liquid still drained from his body and coated the floor in a thick puddle. It swarmed around Devastation's paws and only made her grin grow wider. She was ready to make her way closer to the female, already scanning her figure for any flaws she could take advantage of. So far nothing came into view. But give her time, and she would soon find something she could use for her own personal gain.
Then the female spoke. And Devastation's expression did not change. She could sense fear, and it was overflowing in the yellow lab. If she was trying to act tough she was failing miserably, and would only suffer more because of it. She hated lairs and could see right through them. Yes, she had shown this mutt real good but she did not need to be told this. She hated respect. She did not want it. She wanted to be feared and to have power. And at the female's next words Devastation almost laughed. Her? Help this mutt? Oh that was priceless. The only one she looked out for was herself, and herself only. She was not going to help this female with anything, especially knowing well that she was trying to live a lie. She was trying to find a way to survive after seeing what this husky was capable of. She had power. A lot of power. And she was going to use this to beat the crap out of this lab. Her blood thirsty craving had yet to be settled and she would not hesitate to kill this lab in a mere second. She could take her, that much was well known. But for now she studied her, wondering what her intentions were. Obviously she was trying to fool the husky and if that was the only case then she would face dire consequences for that. Devastation was intelligent, more so than any other dog living on the streets.
When the lab grew closer, this was crossing the line. She growled, bending her limbs and two icy blue eyes piercing right through the female. And then the unthinkable happened. The female lowered her cranium and licked at the puddle of blood on the ground. This was Devastation's kill. This was her pride and she owned the puddle of blood at her feet. And this female thought she could drink from such a thing was wrong. Dead wrong. She did not think, but merely acted. She lunged at the female, hitting her in the side and pushing her across the ground while she had been drinking from the puddle. She did not bite her, but merely pushed her away from her own claim. Then after pushing her away with vigorous force she spoke, her lyrics ice cold like her two blue eyes. "Listen to me bitch, and listen to me good. We are not a team. We are not equal. If you think you can touch my fucking kill then you have another thing coming." She made her way closer to the lab, her paws leaving a trail of bloody paw prints. She was preparing her next attack. And this one would break skin. "I do my work alone, and if you think otherwise then stop being a coward. I can sense fear, and your breath reeks of it." She stopped a few feet from the female, bending her limbs. "You're gonna pay bitch." And then she leaped.

A foul odor lingered from the dead body sitting a few feet away from Solo. Although the task was extremely hard, she just couldn't show fear or weakness to this powerful, brutal female. Strong, rather evil animals grew even more powerful knowing that they are feared by many so Solo tried not to look like a whimpering pup. She stood up straight and puffed out her chest waiting for a fight. Her muscles were very tense waiting for the results of the female's actions. It was all a waiting game really. Fierce, radiant eyes looked over the husky. She was strong. No weaknesses were detected. It was rather odd standing here with a female because rarely did Solo ever come in contact with one. She mostly only paid attention to males. Females gave her little amusement and often judged her off of her walk, the way she talked, or the way she barely listened to a word the other dog said. The Labrador didn't mind about the nasty comments females made about her though. Realistically Solo thought that almost all females were bitchy little divas. Not all though. She did have a few girl pals growing up in her neighborhood. Once she became a stray that all of course changed. Everything she held dear in her heart was now gone. Looking up wiping away all thoughts she looked back up at the female.
Something in the room changed. Solo turned her head for a brief second to see if anyone else had made the same dreadful mistake she did and entered. Nothing seemed to have changed. Perhaps it was the feeling of the room. Yes that was it. The blood seemed to chill inside of her body. Pure terror entered her system as the other female seemed to be planning her next attack. Big brown eyes filled of hate looked into the husky's face. No expression was present but Solo could tell that this husky was silently judging her. A smirk came upon Solo's face. It might have been a mistake but Solo didn't care. Life was all about making mistakes and paying for them later. A sudden rush of adrenaline pumped through out Solo's rather large body. Hopefully this would help her if there was to be a fight. The husky was bigger but not possibly stronger. She must be pretty strong though if she just killed that dog...
Suddenly Solo was knocked off her feet by the husky. It seemed as if Solo's actions toward the dead body had angered the husky. Well, it was her kill. The harmless Labrador didn't see why anyone would kill a dog and then get protective of it's body but then again she wasn't a killer. The other female's cold lyrics rang over and over again in Solo's mind. Maybe this was the end... None of her accomplishments had even come true yet. How could she even think this? Of course she would live. She just had to... She was so young. This was not her time to go but her time to shine. The husky moved in closer to Solo. She smiled broadly. "No, you listen here bitch. NO ONE talks to me like that. I am top quality. Nothing get can better than this right here," she said referring to herself. "Yeah, maybe your looks intimidated me a second ago but perhaps I'm getting used to all the filth in this city." Had she really just said that?! Now she was really in for it... But isn't what a fight what she wanted? Yeah the adrenaline was pumping for one reason. Win. The husky pounced and landed on Solo. She leaped away from the husky and said one last sentence before the real fight started. "Damn, girl you are messing with the wrong dog. But this has to get settled one way or another. Bring it on!"
WC 647 MUSE: Good NOTES: Sorry kinda short. lol Solo is in for a brutal beating after what she said!

It was like this female was trying to get herself killed. First mistake made was toughing the kill of Devastation. It should be well known that once a thing is killed the murderer has rights over what happens to the corpse. Whether it is a rabbit, doe, or one of your own kind it no longer has a free soul, but instead it is bound to that of another. So watching the lab drink the blood of her own property sent Devastation off the edge. Her own twisted mind went into work, energy building up within her and being stored for when the time was right. She watched as the lab turned her head to see if any others were stalking them, almost as if she was looking to see the cloud of death was right behind her. But the thing she did not know was that it was not anything behind her she should be worried about, but what was directly in front of her. When her dial returned to its normal position a smile was bound to her lips. Yes, a smile. It was almost as if she was asking to be killed, to be attacked and have the blood flow out of her slowly and to have a painful death. And if this was what she wanted, Devastation would never hesitate to give it to her. But before the leap was made the lab made her third mistake of the evening. First it was the touching of Deva's property, then the smirk. But then the worst of all came. Back talk. Devastation listened to each of her lyrics, and her orbs fell to slits. The fur on her back bristled, and her lips curled over to reveal the ivories inside. "Bad move bitch," she snapped before lunging into the air at full force.
Both of her paws were stretched out in front of her, claws jutting from her paws ready to hit flesh. Her target was focused on as she soared into the air, closing the gap between them. Then she was at her cruising altitude, hovering there for a few moment before descending lower. The wind ripped against her thick coat, her gathered energy being put to work as she was only inches from her target. At this point there was no hopes for the lab to escape, for the distance between them was too small for her to completely avoid the attack. Then her paws hit the side of the female, and managed to dig her claws into her side. They easily ripped through her flesh like a knife through melted butter, creating nasty gashes which were quick to release the crimson liquid Devastation craved. Her pupils dilated, inhaling the scent of her favorite smell. Oh yes, this was ten times better than killing that flat coated retriever. She pushed down harder, allowing the blood to flow quicker. "What now bitch? What-now?!" She allowed a laugh to escape her muzzle, her dial to be thrown back and her chuckle to be heard within the boundaries of the jail. The warm liquid trickled down the lab's side and soaked into the paws of the husky, mixing in with the blood which was already present from the retriever. It was quick to spread across the side of the lab and tint her once light golden color to a pink.
However, the blood oozing from her wounds also created less friction and eventually Devastation's paws slid off the lab's side and she was able to scramble to her feet and move a few feet away from the husky. Her eyes burned with rage, her dial snapping to the side and locking onto the lab who had just escaped her reach. Then when the female spoke again she held back a laugh. "I am messing with the wrong dog?! Oh you poor deprived child. What makes you think I should be intimidated by your presence? A mere house pet who wandered too far from home. Don't pretend like you have been a stray all your life, for that would be a lie." She could read this female like an open book. She could see her past, and humans were apart of it. Just a glance in her eyes and her entire soul was revealed. A talent the husky was proud to own. Though a glance in her own eyes and only darkness was seen. Something she was able to hide from others. She took a few steps towards the female, then turning her body at a diagonal and bending her limbs. She scanned her body for a weakness she might have missed, though no scars or any other things she could take for granted were present. She cursed under her breath before preparing for her second lunge. "If you were looking for your executioner, you've found her." she stated, preparing to make her second attack though taking a slight pause where the other dog could strike. --Puppet: Devastation --Post for: Akaneh --Word count: 827 --Muse: Moderate --Notes: I figured you should let Solo take a whack at her so I am not the only one attacking ;] just don't hurt her too bad since it is Devastation who is supposed to be the bully to her, not the other way around xD
